Flower Patch

Morning all,

Just a very quickie today as I need to get on with designing my projects for next weeks classes - and I'd like a little free time to play with my exciting new toys !

We made this card last week and it seemed to remind people how versatile the Flower Patch stamp is particularly for backgrounds, looks lovely in all sorts of colours and although it is sadly retiring , it is still available. And if you haven't got the Decorative Label punch - where have you been ? - sorry, it's all gone now, but check out the other ones that are still left. I really love the Stampin' Up punches, so quick and easy.

Enjoy the Bank Holiday weekend

So Succulent

Evening, apologies it's late in the day again.

I've had a very busy but enjoyable crafty day today. Firstly, with my Wednesday class ladies and then a little team training session where I was able to show some of the new products to some team members who weren't able to get to Amsterdam . Think they enjoyed playing with the new In Colours - and looking through a real life catalogue !

My project today uses the Oh So Succulent dies. I must admit I am disappointed these are retiring as I had big plans for them, but time ran away with me and so I literally just put a few together so I could show my class ladies......

Although it's a shame they are going, the good news is that they are reduced from £30 to just £18 ! And at the time of writing are still available so if you want them pop over to www.juliewade.stampinup.net but don't leave it too long as things are selling out fast !

While I was tidying away my craft things, a little baby robin came and sat on the outside of my window sill looking in.....

He was chirping away and just sat there until his parents came to feed him. I didn't like to take a photo while they were feeding him in case it disturbed them but the little one was more than happy to sit and pose for me, despite only being inches away ! The innocence of youth - or maybe he just wanted to check out what's in the new catalogue lol !

Retiring products

Happy Friday to you all !

I've had a few days away this week, which was lovely, but got home to find a wet patch on our bedroom ceiling. This was particularly alarming as we suffered a severe leak while on holiday last year and ended up having to have some major repairs done. Thankfully , this time we caught it quickly and hopefully it will dry out without any lasting damage.  I think I'm jinxed lol !

Today's card features more sadly retiring products, in particular the So Succulent stamps and dies. I had big plans for these but to be honest time has run away with me and I haven't made any of the things I'd planned. The butterflies however, I have more than had my money's worth and have used loads across the last few years

Maybe I'll play with the succulents this weekend - hopefully no DIY will be required !

Enjoy the weekend

Nailed It

Morning all,

As promised I'm back with something creative today , although I can't take any credit for it as it was CASED from a card I saw on the swaps board in Amsterdam. It immediately took my eye as being such a clever idea but I didn't swap this time so I have no details of who made the original. If it was you, or you know the details, please let me know so that I can give credit.

Isn't it cute ? The magnifying glass handle is made from the hammer from the Nailed It set - proves its not just for the boys ! I've used some window sheet for the glass and raised it with the very useful foam strips. A big thank you to the original designer and if you want this set you need to hurry as it's very low in stock at time of writing.

Back on Friday with another design in these colours

CentreStage

Hi all, hope you all had a good Easter and didn't eat too much chocolate !

I'm back today with some photos from the CentreStage evening which took place after the first day of the conference. This event is for all demonstrators who hold the title of Silver Elite or above and I was very privileged to attend again , especially after the figures were shared that out of 46,664 demonstrators globally only 1475 were eligible to attend !
Stampin' Up always spoil us too, it was held at a 5* hotel, with lovely food , live music and gifts too.
Each place setting had a beautiful tulip...

And the centre of each table and more tulips and tealights....

And this was the menu....

And the food...

Back with something creative next time

More from Amsterdam

Hi all,

I'm back with some more photos from Amsterdam. There wasn't much time for sightseeing but I did manage a trip into the city centre and would love to return again one day to see more.

I was amazed by how many bikes there were and we had a few misses and plenty of laughs !

Next time I will tell you more about the CentreStage event that I was lucky enough to attend.

Enjoy the Easter weekend

Amsterdam

Evening all,

Sorry I'm a bit late blogging today but I have had classes and then my lovely ladies have kept me busy inputting their choices from the Retirement List. Some have bagged some fab bargains but there has been a few disappointments too as things are selling out quickly - don't leave it too late !

I thought I would share with you today a couple of photos from my recent trip to Amsterdam for Onstage Live. I travelled with my lovely friend and downline, Angie and we arrived the day before the event started.

Our hotel was situated on the junction where 5 canals met and this was the view from our room....

And after we'd checked in we ventured not the city centre for a little look round ....and some refreshment too !

More pictures next time

Retirement List

Hi all,

I'm back from a fantastic time at OnStage Live in Amsterdam and I will tell you more about that next time, but for now I need to let you know that the Retirement list has gone live this evening so go take a look at www.juliewade.stampinup.net

Sadly, some of my favourites are leaving and I'm sure will sell out very soon so if you see something you like it's probably advisable to order it straight away from my online store. There are some bargains to be had too so go and have a look now.

I'll leave you now with a picture of my stunning Tulips from Amsterdam....just couldn't resist !

Happy Friday !

If this scheduled post has worked I should be at OnStage Live in Amsterdam while you are reading this. Hopefully I will have seen the new catalogue by now and enjoyed playing with some of the new goodies. Stampin' Up! are really good at putting on these large events and it's always fun to catch up with crafty friends.

These are a few of the items for team gifts I squeezed into my case - simple packaging with a little toiletry gift inside. The papers are from the Carousels and Cupcakes stack which has some lovely designs

Have a lovely weekend

Meditteranean Moments

Morning all,

I'm back with another card from the same colour combination and yes, I'm using the fantastic Beautiful You again but this time paired with Mediterranean Moments.

I must confess this is one of those stamp sets that didn't immediately jump out at me - until I saw it used ! Does that happen to you too ? Now I've  played with it , I love it and have a few more ideas to make.

This is made using the masking technique- stamping the lady first and then covering her with a mask and adding the background stamp. I then coloured her top with the watercolour pencils and paper pieced her skirt and umbrella.
A very simple card combining two techniques !!

Foxy Friends

Happy Monday !

Did you enjoy the Jems Blog Hop on Saturday? A big thank you to everyone that visited, hope you were inspired by our Easter projects.

Today's card uses the same colour combination and was one that was well received at my classes. No bunnies this time , but a little Foxy Friend......

This set is so versatile, you can make a whole bunch of different creatures and I also love the little accessories that come with it.

I need to go and feed my washing machine again. We picked daughter number one up from Uni on Sunday and I think the washer has been on constantly since ! But I'm definitely not complaining.

Back soon

Jems April Blog Hop

Morning all and thanks for visiting today and supporting us with the Jems Blog Hop !

This time the theme is Easter/Spring - I don't know where this year has gone, Easter is late this year but it seems to have come round so quickly.

I have a couple of cards to show you and the colour combination I have chosen is Calypso Coral, Peekaboo Peach, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla.

Cute little bunny isn't it ? The background and patterned paper has been stamped using flowers from the Blooming Love set. Although at first glance a Valentine set, I have used these flowers so many times and love them for backgrounds. The little bunny face is from Foxy Friends and my class ladies were delighted that they didn't have to draw his features!

My other card features the Circle of Spring set.......

I have used the watercolour pencils but purposefully not coloured every tiny bit and this set is so versatile that there are plenty of options apart from the Easter sentiment.

Hope you like my Easter cards

Enjoy the rest of the Hop and thank you again for supporting us.
