Lots of Happy

Brrr, morning all, a bit chilly isn't it ? Thankfully I haven't got to venture far today so will be nice and cosy in my craft room.
I do have classes planned for later in the week though so I'm hoping we don't get too much of the white stuff !
Today I want to show you the cards from the Lots of Happy kit. This is an absolutely gorgeous kit and perfect for those like me that love a bit of therapeutic colouring. The kit includes some watercolour pencils and I've also used a blender pen .....

Pretty aren't they ? And some close ups of my colouring...

See, I didn't even go over the lines lol !

Keep warm

Another Partying Panda

Happy Monday to you !

Hope you had a nice weekend ? I spent some time colouring, which I find really relaxing and also sorting out some of my scrap pieces of card . I have a few plastic folders that I keep my scraps in in colour themes but I always seem to put more pieces I than I take out ! Anyway, I was very ruthless and the folders are considerably condensed now .... for a while lol !

Today's card is yet another Party Panda and this one is definitely partying courtesy of a little bottle cut out from the free Sale-A-Bration paper pack

A Polaroid style card too which I was inspired to make after receiving this lovely card from Uma...

You can check out Uma's other fab creations over at her blog www.asenseofuma.blogspot.co.uk.
Enjoy having a browse

Amazing you

Happy Monday to you !
I'm a little bit later posting today because I've been to my Card and a Cuppa session at the local tea room.
Last month I made these treat bags swaps for my team training and to hold a business card holder I bought for my team....

And one of my ladies asked if we could make one. So I made a little card for the inside and this is what we did this morning ....

These are some of my ladies' makes and little Izzy from Scotland  was visiting her Grandma during the Half Term holiday . How did I know she would prefer a mermaid on hers lol ?

Cute isn't it ?

I have some daffodils on my desk to remind me that Spring is not too far away ....hopefully.

Today's card uses one of the SAB freebie options, Lots of Lavender. You can either choose to colour it or there is a watercolour style stamp in the set that does all the hard work for you

This stamp set is free with an order of £45 or more so please get in touch if you would like to know more about the Sale-A-Bration offers

Petal Palette

Hello everyone , I hope you enjoyed the Jems Blog Hop on Saturday ? There were some beautiful projects weren't there ? It's amazing how we all work to the same theme but the ideas are so very different, very inspiring.

Today's card uses some of the Petal Palette products and is a set I really like....

Love that embossing folder too, which is one of two in the set and is great fun to sponge. I definitely need to do more with this little bird and I also need to use some of the gorgeous black and white paper, instead of just looking at it !

Back on Wednesday with another card for you.

Jems February Blog Hop

Morning all and welcome to the Jems Blog Hop !

I hope you've enjoyed all the fantastic projects you've seen so far ? You will know by now that this month's theme is ' Celebrating Love' and as its February, Valentines immediately come to mind but I decided to do something different.
I know some of my SU friends are interested in which colour combination I've chosen , and a few would probably guess I wouldn't go with the obvious red but I decided to surprise them and go predominantly white , very unusual for me I know ! But today it is about the textures and not the colours.

I decided to make a wedding card and used the Hometown Greetings dies which are still available and definitely not just for Christmas ! The sentiment is from the Picture Perfect Birthday set but I knew as soon as I saw it I could use it for a contemporary wedding card.....

It looks very pretty in real life but was very hard to photograph ! I hope you can see the shine from the subtle Champagne foil card and the silver embossing. The line of hearts has been cut out from a die in the Mini Treat Bag set and placed on top of a piece of Champagne foil and I have used the 'waste' hearts to add a sprinkle of embossed style confetti.....

And speaking of confetti , I decided to use one of the silver gable  boxes ( £7.25 for 12 ) to make a pretty little container to carry the confetti to the nuptials.

The celebrate is one of the new dies that are a level 2 SAB freebie and will be available in the new annual catalogue too - but why wait til June to buy them when you could earn them for free now !
I love the delicate white organza ribbon too , and have previously coloured it with Stampin' Blends to match other projects, so versatile !

Hope you like my wedding projects - even if they are not as colourful as usual ! And now I just need a wedding to go to ...do you think I will get a royal invite lol ?

I am last in the Blog Hop today but if you've missed any or started  part way through please head over to see what the lovely Lynn has to show you

Amazing You

Morning all, hope you are keeping warm ! Here it has just gone from sleet to sunshine in the space of half an hour, and I know which one I prefer !

Today's card continues with the same colour combination but features one of the SAB freebies, Amazing You. I've used this set loads already, but then I do love my flowers 🙂

The flowers were stamped in Versamark, heat embossed with silver embossing powder and then sponged with Sweet Sugarplum and Elegant Eggplant ink. Hope you can see the shine ....

Pop back on Saturday when I will be taking part in the Jems Monthly Blog Hop and the theme is Celebrating Love ....better get my thinking cap on !

Sweet little Something

Happy Monday morning to you all !

Sorry about the lack of posts last week but Blogger wouldn't let me upload anything ! No idea why and nothing has changed but it's letting me in again now so who knows ?

Today's card uses the gorgeous stamp set Sweet Little Something ... such a cute little bunny and excellent value at only £19 too !

Cute eh ? I've stamped in Basic Grey and Smoky Slate and teamed with Powder Pink, Sweet Sugarplum and Elegant Eggplant. More cards to come in this colour combination throughout the week ( Blogger permitting ) so pop back soon.
And now I've finished the dreaded tax return I need to get on with the sewing project I mentioned

Back soon

Flying Home

Morning all !

Just a very quick post this morning because I've got some sewing to do this morning- if all goes to plan I will show you later in the week .

Today's card uses the new Flying Home stamp set that is just perfect if you like colouring. And you might recognise a retired colour in there too .... I found a pack of River a Rock card stock whilst I was tidying so I thought it was a shame for it to be neglected !

Can't wait to try this one in my preferred pretty pinks and blues !

New desk....

Morning all and welcome to my little blog

Today I thought I would show you the result of all my recent sorting and de cluttering, my lovely new workspace........

I am really enjoying working from here and am determined to keep it tidy. I also love my new little shelves where I can display some of the special cards that have been sent to me.
To the right is my old desk which still needs sorting and then there is more storage on the opposite wall. It is only a small room but it's my own little space and I feel very lucky.

Thanks for stopping by and have a lovely weekend

Happy Wishes

Good morning, Friday again !

I'm still sorting my craft room but my new desk is now sorted and I will show you a picture in tomorrow's post. I still have the other side of the room to do but hopefully next week it will be all finished and I can enjoy creating in a lovely space.

Today's card is made with another of the Sale-A-Bration freebie items but this one is a level 2 set, so free with a £90 order. There are lots of different sentiments that can be combined together and the font is lovely......

Colours today are Daffodil Delight, Always Artichoke and Sahara Sand and I got the sentiments all lined up using my Stamparatus.

Can't wait to try some more combinations with this set

Another Party Panda

Hello, and yes I'm back again with another Party Panda ! And there is plenty more  still to come !

I'm not sure but I have a feeling I may have CASED this one but I can't find any details so if you do recognise it please let me know as I would love to give credit. I've just had a quick look on Pinterest and didn't see it but wow, there are loads of fab Panda designs, they are very popular little fellas !
If you have this set you won't be stuck for inspiration

I used the Calypso Coral Blends to create the ombre effect behind celebrate which is one of the dies in the Level 2 freebie set, love to use my freebies !
And talking of Stampin' Blends , look how tidy my collection of pens look now...

I've still got a lot to do in my craft room but I'm getting there, just wish I could wave my magic wand and get it finished off.

Back soon

Baby Bear

Morning, I'm a bit earlier today but I've still got plenty of de cluttering to do. I'm really pleased with how it's looking though and can't wait to play in my 'new' room.

Today's card uses the same colour combination but this time features the very cute Baby Bear. This is a 3 step stamp set and I know some of my class ladies have previously  found it a little tricky to get it lined up properly. But not this week ! We used my Stamparatus and it was definitely a wow moment with loads of perfect bears.....

Such a cute little face !

Have a good weekend

Bubble Over

Just a very quick post today because I am in the middle of a craft room makeover and everything is everywhere ! Can't wait to get it all finished and sit and craft !

This card is CASED from one we made at a Stampin' Up! event and I have used some retired papers too because it seems I have quite a lot 😊

In fact I've even used some retired papers today to line my new drawers.....

Better get back to filling them up

Amazing You

Morning again, hope you enjoyed the Jems Blog Hop on Saturday and were inspired by the great projects on show.

Today's card uses another Sale-A-Bration set and no pandas this time ! This one is called Amazing You and has a beautiful flower image a well as some mix and match sentiments.  So here's my card using the same colour combo as some I showed you last week.....

And how did I get all the celebrate words perfectly lined up ? Using my new Stamparatus tool of course ! And it was so easy !
If you haven't preordered one of these don't worry it will be available again when the new annual catalogue launches and it will definitely help you with your stamping.

Now let me show you the rest of the stamp set ....

Nice isn't it ? And the best part is it is completely FREE with an order of £45 or above ! So would you choose this one or the pandas lol ?

Jems Monthly Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to my little blog and the Jems Monthly Hop !

The theme this month is to use new items and if you've seen my previous posts you will know I love the new SAB item Party Pandas.
My eldest had her birthday the day after Boxing Day and as she is definitely not a pink girl and loves black and white , I knew she would like the pandas too.

I made a small concertina card to fit into the pizza boxes , which have carried over

Looks serious enough, but when you open it up the Party Pandas appear ! And as she is in her second year at Uni I know there needed to be a bottle or two at this party 😂 !
I cut the tiny bottles from the SAB freebie paper...

And this is the second section of the card.......

And all opened up....
It stretches out quite a way and you can see the party in full swing. I have dressed a couple of the pandas with Washi tape and the little bow tie is from the Cookie Cutter punch
It was a hit and also visitors commented on how cute the little pandas looked. I think these are going to be one of the top picks from the Sale-A-Bration brochure

And I actually was organised this year and made her card before Christmas- usually I have to pop to my craft room on Boxing Day to make something !

Next in the Hop is lovely Sarah , I'm sure she will have something amazing to show you and I may be able to guess what she has chosen to use but I won't spoil the surprise ! Enjoy hopping around

Petal Passion

Happy Friday !

It's been a funny week hasn't it ? I'm hoping next week I will be back in my normal routine and may even know which day it is !

Today's card has the same colour combination as the panda one , Bermuda Bay, Pink Pirouette, Sahara Sand, Basic Black and Melon Mambo.
This time I have used some new paper from the Petal Passion DSP pack and the coordinating Petal Palette stamps ......

The patterned paper pack is extremely because it is actually all black and white ( perfect with the pandas 😉) and I have coloured it.
It started life like this....

I then lightly sponged with Pink Pirouette ink....

And then added some colour with the Watercolour pencils and a blender pen and of course you could use the new Stampin' Blends too

A very quick and easy transformation and obviously could be coloured in whatever combination suits your project - no more searching to see if you have matching paper !

Pop back tomorrow as I am taking part in the Jems Monthly Blog Hop - and there may be more pandas 😉

Happy new catalogue !

Good morning, and despite the weather it is a good one today as we have the launch of the new Spring/ Summer catalogue !
Yes, I did say Spring/Summer lol ! It is also the start of the Sale-a-bration offers which I will explain in more detail in my post on Friday but basically it means there are various ways for you to earn extra products for free !

And today's card uses one of those free sets - Party  Pandas. I have always loved pandas, which probably stems from the fact that my very first teddy was a panda bought for me by my Dad when I was born...and that panda knows a lot of my secrets ! Also, a few years ago I was lucky enough to go and see the pandas in San Diego zoo which was an amazing experience. So , of course I had to have this new set.... you can earn it for free with an order of £45 and I think these little fellas are going to be very popular !

Cute or what ? And amazing for free ! I would pay ( a lot ) for these stamps ! Think you will be seeing lots more of these

Happy New Year !

Happy New Year and welcome back to my little blog !

I’m sorry I’ve been missing for a while- I did really well with blogging 3 times a week right through until November but then I got distracted by OnStage, Christmas preparations etc and got out of the habit.
But I’m back now to try again ! I’ve had a little stamping break over the Christmas holiday but Santa did bring me a new toy - a sewing machine !
It was like role reversal as now my girls are older, I was the one wanting to set up my new toy on Christmas Day !
So I had a quick little play and made a decoration which went straight on the tree......

And a few days later I decided to be even more adventurous and make a bag from a piece of old curtain and a pillowcase ........

Considering I'd never done anything like this before I was quite pleased with how it turned out although  next time there are a few things I need to improve ! In fact I have already bought a pair of curtains in the sale ready to cut up lol !

And my new toy has also caused me a lot of work as I have decided to rearrange my craft room to accommodate it. So far I'm still at the 'wish I'd never started it ' stage  but hopefully eventually it will all be worth it and I'm looking forward to planning my new storage.

I will be back on Wednesday with a card but just a reminder  that the new Spring/Summer catalogue starts then so if you want anything from the Autumn /Winter one pop over to my online store quickly !
