Today's card is from a set that I must confess that I skimmed past when I first flicked through the new catalogue ...Celebration Time . After closer consideration I decided it would be very versatile both for pretty birthday and wedding cards but also for masculine projects too - and the matching framelits have tags too, perfect for Christmas !

Christmas is coming ......

Morning all, feeling very excited today.

Another new week but I'm back again with another card using last weeks colour combination .....

A bit of flower colouring this time - and check out the very subtle background music notes. I love SU background stamps and this one is equally nice with a vintage feel like this or making a bold, dramatic impact too !

Do you like those tiny square embellishments in the top right hand corner ? Left overs from last weeks door card lol ! Waste not, want not ...

Ghost technique

Hi all,

Back with something a bit different today, ghost stamping. For this I used the new SU glossy card stock, can't wait to play with this more !

I stamped the little fishy background with Versamark ink and then sent aside to dry. Once dry I then sponged them with three horizontal stripes starting with Tranquil Tide at the bottom, then Emerald Envy, then Tempting Turquoise. As you press the ink in it is resisted by the Versamark and little white fishes appear!

Fun technique and a lot less messy than getting out the heat gun and embossing powder !

Gold gift bags

Morning all, Monday again. How quickly the weeks roll by - a sign of getting old lol !

Today it's not a card I've got to show you but some gift packaging. I recently sent my grown up niece a MAC cosmetics gift card. It was a black gift card and it came with a completely plain black envelope so I decided it needed 'stampyupifying' a bit to make it a bit prettier. I used one of the new gold striped gift bags and it was literally done in a minute, complete with a gold clip and some of the new mini sequin trim to coordinate with the black inside.

Very quick and easy !

Friday again ! Thank Crunchie !

Been a busy week, but the highlight has got to be another special card I received in the post from a very special lady !

It came all the way from the Stampin' Up! Home office in Utah with a personal message from the lovely Sara Douglass, CEO !!!

Sarah from our team had taken the trouble to contact Sara and let her know about our recent effort to send cards to the emergency services following the awful tragedies and I'm so touched that Sara contacted me.  I'm such a lucky girl but really it is to recognise the whole team effort

If you can, please surprise someone with an unexpected handmade card in the post - it means so much !

Graceful Garden

Morning,

I promised you something pretty today ......and its using the gorgeous Graceful Garden stamp set. I really love these stamps and the other products in the suite. 

We made this card at my last Card and a Cuppa and it was very popular. I've also been using some of the other papers this week but I will save those for another day.

You are my SUnshine

Morning all  and welcome to the Jems Monthly Blog Hop !

The theme this month is 'You are my Sunshine' or in my case my SUnshine as tomorrow I will be celebrating 7 years since I became a Stampin' Up! demonstrator. Time definitely flies when you are having fun !
Stampin' Up! has meant so much to me over the years, amazing team mates and new friends, lovely customers , increased confidence in my abilities, fantastic events, personal title achievements, my own team, self development ( including learning how to blog and hop !)......and even some crafting with my favourite products ever ! And across the last month it has become even more evident how important SU is to me and the special moments I have experienced.

I also need to say a big thank you to Julie Kettlewell, my SU mommy who has helped and guided me over the years - and hopefully seen an improvement !

If you are considering joining , then without doubt I would say DO IT ! Cute isn't it ? Love the new Bundle of Love papers, the gold is stunning and definitely not just for babies.

I also have had the Window Box dies for a while so I thought I would make a little box suitable for that special first tooth or curl.....
