Papillon Potpourri

Happy Monday morning to you !

It's very grey and miserable here at the moment but I'm off to my Card and a Cuppa event at the local tea room so I'm looking forward to that.

Today's card features the gorgeous butterflies from Papillion Potpourri and the matching punches

And I just love that large sentiment from Balloon Adventures but one of my favourite things to make just has to be scrunched flowers....

Isn't that pretty ? I could make those all day and it's very therapeutic !

Better go and get my bag packed - and see if I can manage not to be tempted by the gorgeous cake at the tea room !

Lift Me Up

Morning and thanks for visiting my blog today !

I've had a very busy few days, 3 classes in 2 days and lots of orders to process and most of them include the stamp set I've used in today's card, Lift Me Up.

Colours are Night of Navy, Mint Macaron, Calypso Coral and Peekaboo Peach. To make the balloon 3 dimensional I stamped it 3 times, scored each one down the middle and then stuck them together. Very effective but still folds flat for easy posting.

Lots of these made in classes this week and a set I know I will be using again . The paper is also from a pack that is one of the free Sale-a-bration items and perfect to accompany the Lift Me Up bundle.

Right, better get on, got some admin jobs that I need to get done today. The sooner they're done , the sooner I can play again.

Have a good weekend

Beautiful You

Morning all,

Wednesday and middle of the week again already ! I really enjoy Wednesdays as I get to spend it with my class ladies and especially this time of the year when we get to play with some new products.

Beautiful You has been a very popular set and perfect for various techniques but I've been paper piecing again in today's card

Love these colours and the papers also match the Blooms and Wishes stamp set.

Right, better go and get my things ready, I might show you one of our class makes on Friday

Happy Stampin

Hey Chick

Oh dear, I've surpassed myself with lateness today but I do have a good excuse !

I've had a lovely day at Jems Team Training in Leeds but that meant leaving home at 6.45am and I got back at 7.30pm - but it was definitely worth it ! Good company and fantastic projects although I do have a bit of homework to put mine together tomorrow.

Today's card uses another SAB freebie option , the Hey Chick stamps. I must confess this wasn't one of my first choices but as usual I've seen lots of lovely projects made with it and it has grown on me...

What do you think ? Like that chicken or not ?

Better go and unpack my bag and get my PJs on. It's been a long day but I was determined to not break my blogging routine ! See you Wednesday

Beautiful You

Morning,

Sorry I'm a little later than usual posting this morning but I had a new class yesterday and by the time I got home it was too dark to take a photo - can't wait for the lighter nights again ! It wasn't even much lighter this morning ...

This card uses the paper piecing technique but I made the patterned paper for the clothes  and umbrella by just stamping on plain card - about the closest I'm ever going to get to making clothes !  Stampin' Up! do some lovely papers  but sometimes the colours aren't what I need so I love that I can use my stamps to make paper in any colour combination I want.

The background was stamped repeatedly with the large flower image from the Avant Garden stamp set and then sponged. This set is really versatile and even better it's free with an order of £45 or more. I have used it lots already.

For those that like the colour combinations I have used Sweet Sugarplum, Blushing Bride, Tip Top Taupe , Soft Sky and Very Vanilla.

Thank you to the lovely new ladies that came to class today, hope you enjoyed it !

Balloon Adventures - with balloons !

Yes, this time same stamp set but using some of the balloons !

They are lovely balloon images and I love the fact there is a matching punch, really quick to do. Did add an extra step though by using the gorgeous copper embossing powder. Not sure you can see the shine, but it is lovely in real life and very on trend.

The sentiments are from this set too and the inside has had a little tone on tone stamping too

I think you will agree this card is very different from my last one, considering it it using the same stamp set. I love versatile stamps, need to get my moneys worth !

Back on Friday, seem to be getting a routine going

Balloon Adventures

Morning all, can you believe we are halfway through January all ready ?

Yesterday, we delivered my eldest back to Uni 😥 , so now it's time to really get organised and establish a new routine - after I've tidied her room !!

Today's card is the last of this set and before I forget, the colours are Melon Mambo, Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry. You may have noticed the title of this post is Balloon Adventures , but there are no balloons in sight ! That is because that is the title of the set that the large sentiment comes from, along with many other sentiments AND some very useful balloons that match the balloon punch too.

A large piece of my coloured strip and the stitched framelits again - now available to order again, while stocks last so pop over to www.juliewade.stampinup.net to order if you have been waiting for them.

Hope you've enjoyed my cards made with the Inside the Lines freebie paper pack. I'm sure there will be more but come back on Wednesday for a different colour combination

Better get cleaning that bedroom lol !

Delicate Details

Happy Friday !

Have you got any snow ? We've had a bit yesterday and this morning but thankfully here in the Midlands we usually avoid the extremes that some parts of the country suffer. I've braved it out to drop my daughter off , but now I'm going to make a hot chocolate and hibernate in my craft room ! Perfect weather for crafting !

As promised, today I'm going to give you some more info on the border stamps I used on my last card. They are from a Sale-a-bration set called Delicate Details which is FREE with an order of £45. When I first saw this set I knew I would use it a lot, it's ' very me '. But what is more amusing is that several of my demonstratror friends have said they thought of me when they saw it lol ! I must be so predictable !

It does make a beautiful edge and of course I've added another bit of my coloured strip and a some individual leaves and a flower that I cut out. The sentiment is from 'Balloon Adventures " and I just love the stitched framelits which will be available to order again very soon.

If you would like this stamp set, pop over to my online store www.juliewade.stampinup.net - you won't find it difficult to earn a freebie !

Keep warm

Customer Tee

Morning all, I'm back again ! I'm getting quite good at this New Year's resolution thing , mind you it's not even the middle of January yet !

Today's card is using the very versatile Custom Tee set . If you've not seen this set I suggest you take a look as I think it will be one that can be used for a lot of occasions and suits male and female cards. It also has a lot of little accessory stamps which are very useful.
For this card I just stamped the T shirt outline stamp onto my coloured strip . I also added a birthday girl sash.

Pop back on Friday and I'll tell you more about the border stamp I used. See how I'm making myself accountable lol ? By telling you in advance when I'm next going to post it makes me do it - it's working so far !

Beautiful You !

Morning all,

As promised, I'm back with further details from one of my cards made from my colouring session.

This card is stamped with one of the gorgeous images from the new Beautiful You set. I must admit this set went straight to the top of my wish list when I saw the new catalogue. It has 3 beautiful images and some lovely sentiments too - and it's just perfect for watercolouring ! But on this occasion I used the paper piecing technique by stamping the image again on my colouring page and cutting out the skirt and umbrella and then a bit more colouring on the bodice....

I love how I can change the clothes as the mood takes me - think it reminds me of the dress up doll comics I had as a little girl lol ! Do you remember attaching the clothes with the tabs ?

I will be back on Wednesday with a closer look at one of the other cards

Happy Stampin

It's Sale-a-bration time !

Good morning and Happy New Year !!!

I love Christmas and all the festivities but I also like the 'fresh start ' feel of the New Year - and that includes the new Stampin' Up! Spring/Summer catalogue and Sale-a-bration freebies !!!

Have you had a look yet ? If not pop over to my online store www.juliewade.stampinup.net and you can browse through an online catalogue ( and spend your Christmas money lol) very easily. If you would prefer a paper copy, and you don't already have a demonstrator please let me know and I'll put one in the post to you. You can't beat having the real thing to flick through !

Obviously, the new goodies are the theme of this month's Jems Blog Hop and I've used a few of my favourites.....

One of the Sale-a-bration freebies is a set of 12x12 papers to colour. Adult colouring is very popular at the moment and it's so relaxing so between Christmas and New Year I spent a lovely cosy afternoon colouring and then used  my efforts to make a few cards.  Also you don't need to colour every little bit, just stop when you've had enough - but be warned it is addictive lol !

I cut a strip of paper approx 2 inches wide and got out my NEW watercolour pencils - luckily Santa didn't notice the seal on them had been opened before they got to him 😉. These pencils are only£14.95 for a pack of 13 and I'm so excited to be able to colour in proper SU colours...

And another fab feature of these pencils is that you can use them with the blender pens so you don't even need any water.

So what did I make with my coloured strip ? ...... As the song goes 'these are a few of my favourite things ' from the new catalogue .....

Pop back on Monday and I will give you more info on the products used - yes, my New Years resolution is to try to blog more often !

Enjoy the rest of the Hop x
